Up from the grave He arose!

Here are some photos from Emerson's first Easter!

Brady was able to take the weekend off from work; it was such a blessing to be able to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior as a family! We started our family weekend off early with a 6:45 AM wake-up call from the princess! The great news was that we got to enjoy a FABULOUS breakfast Saturday morning at Rain Uptown - I highly recommend their French Toast. OMGosh! After we finished our toast and eggs, we headed over to St. Luke's Southwest church to see the Easter bunny. What a cool ministry idea! They had hundreds of kids there for face paining, balloon animals, craft projects, cupcake decorating, and the telling of Easter story! On our way out the door, we plopped Emerson down in the middle of the eggs for a quick photo.

We spent the rest of Saturday working in the yard. We recently pulled up all of the shrubs from our flowerbeds along the front of the house and cleared out all of the old mulch. We made a few stops for plants and another couple for mulch. What a day!!! :)

Sunday was wonderful, too! We started off by attending the worship service at Southcrest. What a phenominal service it was! :) We were blessed by a powerful message and Emerson did great through the whole thing. We headed to Grandma's house for Easter lunch and fun with our Easter basket! It was such a blessing to be spending such an important day celebrating as a family!

The best news of the day, by far, is that we serve a risen Lord! What a great feeling of security and peace. Our Savior LIVES!

Let's try this again...

I've started and stopped with this blog thing several times. The last time I logged in was almost a year ago...and boy, oh, boy...or should I say girl, oh, girl...things have changed in our lives! I am wanting to begin blogging again with renewed energy and lots of fun, exciting things to discuss since the arrival of our precious baby girl, Emerson McCall.

So - let's pick up where we left off. Emerson was born on October 28, 2010, sharing a birthday with her Mooch (my Dad). Here's a photo of our baby girl:

We are now firm believers in love at first sight, let me just tell you. :)

Now, our baby girl is 6 months old! Wow! Time has FLOWN by! I can't believe I am the Mommy of a pear-loving, two-toothed, sitting champion! Here are some photos of our sweet girl:

Baby GIRL Cross! ; )

Evidently, the last time I posted anything was over a year ago...oops! I guess that just goes to show how busy we have been for the past year!

Our biggest, most exciting news is that we are currently expecting our first baby...a little GIRL! She is due on November 3, 2010 and we are thriled! She doesn't have a name just yet, because we want to make sure she gets the beautiful, sophisticated, unique name she deserves! So far, she is growing ahead of schedule and is very active. We have been blessed by wonderful family and friends who have been showering us with fantastic new things for our little princess. I can't wait to go and buy lots of things for her, too... but, let me make another announcement...

We are currently in the process of buying our first home! We walked in the door and instantly fell in love. That night, we were in the process of buying our first place. It has everything we could have dreamed of and the potential to be so much more. It hit all the 'big' things on our list (space, privacy, square footage, location, neighborhood, etc.) and had so many extras we never knew we would have. Some of the things we are most excited about include a .5 acre lot, stained concrete floors, very open concept, beautiful neighborhood, 4 bedrooms, and 3 full baths! We are pumped! We've already ordered new appliances for our place and are in the process of deciding what color to paint the nursery...since blue just won't do!

Brady and I have been continually reminded that God has a plan greater than our own. While it is hard to let go sometimes, it is reassuring to see what all He is capable of doing when we allow Him the freedom to act. We are so blessed and so thankful for the blessings in our lives.

Much love!

Birthdays! :)

So, with both of our birthdays this past week, here's what I know:

* Brady and I are SO loved!
* We have been blessed with wonderful families who love us like crazy and would do anything for us!

Ok, so I knew both of those things already, but it was sure evident this week! Thank you to our family and friends for the wonderful birthday wishes and generous gifts. We love you all!

We were also able to order our new living room furniture and picked up our patio furniture for the new yard! :)

Now...on to a hectic Memorial Day Weekend! Hold on tight! :)

NYC

Brady and I went to New York for our Honeymoon! What a wonderful way to spend Christmas! We got to spend a lot of time walking around, seeing some amazing sights!

Central Park was our favorite! We could have spent every day there, I think! It was so very peaceful amidst all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season.

We also got to see Wicked, the Rockettes, the Top of the Rock Observation Deck, Tiffany's, and the Statue of Liberty, to name a few. We even made our first TV debut - on the Today Show!

We made lots of memories that we'll always cherish, that is for sure!
